5 killed in road mishaps
Hyderabad, Aug 6: Five persons, including two South African nationals and an 18-year-old girl student, were killed and three injured in two road accidents in the city today.
Police said four software professionals, including the foreigners, were killed and two others injured when their car collided head on with a speeding lorry at Medchal, on the outskirts of the city.
While Cuniwe Buhmee Cezwe, Jacob and Narasimhan Reddy died on the spot, Narasimha Rao succumbed to injuries at a hospital.
In the other mishap, student Swathi Mohan was killed and her father injured when their two wheeler was knocked down by a lorry near Habsiguda in the city. While Swathi succumbed to head injuries on the spot, her father Mohan escaped with minor injuries.
