Woman commits suicide after killing children

Ballia, Aug 5 (UNI) A woman allegedly strangulated her children and later committed suicide at Haldi area of the district.

Jai Prakash's wife Suneeta (30) committed suicide on Friday night by hanging herself from the ceiling fan after killing her daughter Priyanka (8) and son Sahil (5), police said today.

Suspecting that something was wrong the neighbours broke open the door last evening. Jai Prakash had gone to Lucknow to visit his ailing mother.

Police recovered a suicide note citing family dispute, to be the reason behind the extreme step.

The bodies of the deceased had been sent for postmortom.
