Two children drowned in pond

Vadodara, Aug 5 (UNI) Two children drowned in a pond at village Gutal in Vaghodia taluka of the district today.

The children -- Ashwin Parmar (11) and his cousin Kiran Parmar (8) -- had gone to the pond for bath this afternoon, where they accidentally swept into the deep, police said.

When the two minors failed to return, their fathers who were working in the field, near the pond, went in search of the boys.

They found that the children had drowned. Both of them were rushed to a nearby hospital, where the doctors declared brought dead, sources added.
