Seven inmates escape from jail in Chhattisgarh
Koriya, Chhattisgarh, Aug 5 (UNI) Seven inmates today escaped from a sub-jail after stabbing a guard at Baikuntpur in the district this afternoon, police sources said.
The inmates, who were facing charges of dacoity, stabbed the jail guard, snatched keys of the main gate and escaped from the sub-jail.
The injured guard has been admitted to a hospital.
However, four of those escaped from the jail were later arrested from the outskirts of Baikuntpur after the police launched a manhunt to arrest them.
A team of police personnel are now engaged in search operations in Koriya district, bordering Jharkhand.
