Senior BSP leader meets Guj BJP rebels

Vadodara, Aug 5: With an eye on the Gujarat Assembly elections scheduled to be held in December this year, senior Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) leader Satish Chandra Mishra met the state BJP rebels.

Mr Mishra, a Cabinet minister in the Mayawati government in Uttar Pradesh, held discussions with BJP rebel leader Nalin Bhatt last evening.

Later, Mr Mishra said his party will Contest the assembly polls in the state on its own on the lines of Brahmin - OBC strategy adopted in Uttar Pradesh.

During the 2002 Gujarat Assembly elections, the BJP had secured two-third majority in the 182-member House.
