One killed, 2 injured in lightning

Kheda, Gujarat, Aug 5 (UNI) A 40-year-old man was killed and two others sustained serious injuries when a lightning struck them at village Kadana in Petlad taluka of the district.

The lightning struck Kadana village last evening at 1830 hrs, killing Babu Ambalal Patel on the spot, who was returning from his farm land, police sources said today.

The injured have been undergoing medical treatment at the civic hospital in Petlad.

The victim's body was handed over to the family members today after a post-mortem by the civil hospital authorities, police added.
