Nepali farmers protest UP chief minister's statement

Kathmandu, Aug 5 (UNI) Nepali farmers living in areas adjoining the Nepal-India border have expressed their strong protest against Chief Ministers of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, media reports today said.

The peasant community in Nawalparasi has opposed Mayawati for her reported statement that UP should be protected from floods by constructing a still bigger dam on the border area with Nepal.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati made this statement to the media while touring the flood affected areas of UP.
