NBA workers take out torch procession

Badwani, MP, Aug 5 (UNI) A torch procession was taken out by hundreds of Narmada Bachao Andolan(NBA) workers under NBA leader Medha Patkar's leadership here last night.

Ms Patkar, who was arrested along with 121 NBA workers near here on July 25, reached here last evening after being released from Indore jail on bail in various cases.

NBA workers have been agitating since July 30 in front of old collectorate building over demands related Sardar Sarovar project and land in lieu of land.

Hundreds of activists took out torch procession last night and took pledge for eradicating corruption.

Ms Patkar, while addressing the agitators, said several projects were being carried out by resorting to corruption and committing atrocities.
