Lakhs of devotees thronge Dharabaranyeswarar temple

Puducherry, Aug 5 (UNI) Lakhs of devotees thronged the Dharabaranyeswarar temple at Thirunallar in Karaikal region of the Union Territory on the occasion of Sanipeyarchi, the transist of Lord Saturn from the Zodiac sign of Cancer to Leo (Kadagam to Simmam) today.

Puducherry Lt Governor Mukut Mithi, Chief Minister N Rangasamy, his Cabinet colleagues and legislators, leaders of several political parties and officials, were among others, who worshipped the deity on the occasion.

Police made elaborate security arrangements to maintain law and order.
