Kanya Kelavni programme at Padra cancelled

Vadodara, Aug 5 (UNI) A programme, to be organised under ''Kanya Kelavni Nidhi'' at Padra in Vadodara District tomorrow, has been cancelled by authorities in view of heavy rains in the district.

Chief Minister Narendra Modi was to reward girls aspiring to achieve higher education in the programme, official sources said here today.

Kanya Kelavni Nidhi, comprising of ten schemes, benefits three sections of female students--physically challenged, general category as well as BPL, sources said.
