HARTRON achieves Rs 27 crore turnover

Chandigarh, Aug 5: The Haryana State Electronics Development Corporation Limited (HARTRON) has achieved a turnover of Rs 27.66 crore in the last fiscal year when the Corporation has awarded with ISO-9001-2000 certification, HARTRON Managing Director V S Kundu stated here today.

He said that the Corporation had become one of the leading agencies in the field of election related work, which included computerisation of electoral rolls, preparation of off line and on line electoral photo identity cards for Haryana, Punjab and Chandigarh Administration.

He said that HARTRON had also emerged as a total solution provider and had bagged a number of IT turn-key projects of wier spectrum included Wide Area Network, Campus Network, Application Developer, Nodal Aency for procurement of hardware, Project Management and Date Warehousing.

Mr Kundu said that HARTRON had been designated the nodal agency for capacity building under NeGAP for prepation and execution of e-governance road map in the state. A robust interface in the form of e-Procurement between the state Government, procurement agencies and suppliers was being planned.

He said that with a view to further boost the setting up of IT units in the state, HARTRON has initiated a proposal to build IIT complexes in Gurgaon having state-of-the-art facilities. Besides special thrust was also being given by HARTRON towards implementation of the governments IT policy.
