Four killed in car-lorry collision

Tuticorin, Aug 5 (UNI) Four persons were killed on the spot and another injured when a car in which they were travelling collided head-on with a lorry at Kottur Vilakku near here today.

Police said the car was proceeding to Ottapidaram from Irukkan Kudi when the accident occurred.

The deceased were identified as Kundan Perumal (60), father of sitting AIADMK MLA from Ottapidaram constituency Mohan, A Durai (55), P Selvaraj (52) and Mariappan (48).

The injured was admitted to Government hospital here, police added.
