Fibcom aims Rs 200 crore revenue in FY08
New Delhi, Aug 5: Telecom equipment maker Fibcom India Ltd has said it targets Rs 200 crore revenue by the end of this fiscal.
''We expect to reach Rs 200 crore turnover, more than Rs 80 crore from our earlier projection of Rs 120 crore,'' company Director D M Reddy told reporters.
The company's turnover stood at Rs 65 crore in the fiscal 2006-07.
''There is a lot of demand coming from telecom sector for our products as it is expanding never like before,'' he added.
In one of the major order in the last six months, Mr Reddy said the company got order worth Rs 80 crore from Reliance Communications mainly in SDM domain.
The company will also set up 1,50,000 sq ft 'Tech Centre' in Gurgaon entailing an investment of Rs 40 crore during the next 18 months.
''The land for the facility has already been allotted by the Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA),'' said Mr Reddy.
The tech centre in association with the US-based Tellabs will develop and launch many new products and services for the Indian customers, he added.
The company has four offices in Mumbai, Bangalore, Kolkata and Gurgaon.
''We plan to open a new office in Hyderabad and two overseas offices in Bangladesh and Sri Lanka,'' Mr Reddy said.
Fibcom was acquired by Suri Group in April last year for an undisclosed amount.
It deals in manufacturing of optical transmission products (SDH/DWDM), integrated network solutions and telecom infrastructure development projects.
The major customers include BSNL, MTNL and all major private operators and the utility sectors covering Railways and the oil and gas sector.
