Allahabad, Aug 5 (UNI) Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) vice-president Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi today said the ex-leaders, who still have faith in the party and no charges against them, were welcome to rejoin the BJP.

Talking to UNI here, Mr Naqvi said the BJP was planning to re-induct the leaders, who had left the party, but still carry faith in the party principles and had not harmed it in any form.

Doors of the party are always open for all ex-leaders, including the former Delhi chief minister Madan Lal Khurana and firebrand leader Uma Bharti, he added.

When asked about the re-entry of former vice-president Bhairon Singh Shekhawat, Mr Naqvi said he had disassociated himself from the active politics and had no constitutional obligations, but was still welcome.

The BJP vice-president asserted Shiv Sena had always been a faithful and friendly ally of the party and it was duty of the senior leaders to improve the relationship through the dialogue process.

''The question of Mr Rajnath Singh's resignation from the post of national presidentship did not arise. The next Lok Sabha election in 2009 would be fought under his able leadership,'' he said.

Mr Naqvi further urged the delimitation commission and election commission to complete the work of the delimitation of assemblies and parliament constituencies soon to avoid any confusion among the political parties and candidates.

BJP leaders would soon meet the President in this regard, he added.
