Coimbatore blasts: Decision on bail for 84 on Aug 6

Coimbatore, Aug 5: Bail application for 84 people, whom the Special Court hearing the Coimbatore bomb blasts case had cleared of criminal conspiracy charge, will come up for hearing tomorrow.

On receiving bail applications from August two, Special Court Judge K Uthirapathy had reserved orders for August six, when the quantum of sentence for the convicted is likely to be pronounced.

The Court had acquitted Kerala-based People's Democratic Party Chairman Abdul Nasir Madani and seven others, while convicting Al-Umma President S A Basha and 152 others on August one.

The Court had asked those convicted on minor charges and those whose conviction was deferred to file their bail petitions.
