Koppal, Aug 5 (UNI) Karnataka BJP President D V Sadanandagouda today challenged the Congress party at the Centre to dissolve the Legislative Assembly and face elections in the State.

Addressing the party workers here, he said people were ''fed up'' with the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government at the Centre due to the constant price rise and the attitude of the Congress party in some states.

Referring to the recent statement of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh asking Congress workers to be ready for the polls to come back to power in Karnataka, he said ''let him (Dr Singh) dissolve the Legislative Assembly and face the elections.'' Dr Singh, at a party meeting here yesterday had asked the Congress workers to be ready for polls to bring back the party to power as the ruling JD (S)-BJP coalition was not in a ''good shape'' in the state.

Dr Singh had come under severe criticism by several BJP leaders, including Deputy Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa and Water Resources Minister K S Eshwarappa.
