BJP challenges Congress to desolve the Karnataka Assembly

Koppal, Karnataka, Aug 5 (UNI) Karnataka Bharatiya Janata Party President D V Sadanandagouda today challenged the Congress to dissolve the Legislative Assembly and face elections in the State.

Addressing party workers here, he said that people were fed up with the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government at the Centre for the constant price rise and the behaviour of Congress in some States.

Referring to recent statement of Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh asking Congress workers to be ready for polls to come back to power in the state, he said that "let him (Mr Singh) dissolve the Legislative Assembly and face the elections." Dr Singh at a party meeting here yesterday had asked the party workers to be ready for polls to bring back the party to power as the ruling JD (S)-BJP coalition is not in a good shape in the state.

Dr Singh came under severe criticism by several BJP leaders including Deputy Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa and Water Resources Minister K S Eshwarappa.
