Armed criminals shoot dead a couple

Khagaria, Aug 5 (UNI) Armed criminals shot dead a couple at Rampur Diara under Gogri police station area in Khagaria district yesterday.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Vineet Vinayak here today said that the victims, identified as Bahadur Tanti and Santra Devi, along with their daughter Ritu Kumari, were on way to their home when seven armed criminals shot dead the couple.

However, the victims' daughter, Ritu Kumari, managed to escape and informed the relatives about the incident and an FIR has been lodged.

The SP added that raids were on to nab the criminals and the reason behind the murder was speculated to be old enimity.
