2 engineers die after falling from height

Gangtok, Aug 5 (UNI) Two Junior Engineers(JE) of the State Rural Development Department died early this morning after they "fell" from a height in front of a local hotel here.

Jiwan Gurung died on the spot while JE Bikash Pradhan later died at a local hospital, police informed here.

''Jiwan Gurung(40) and Bikash Pradhan(35), who were in a drunken state, died after falling into a deep narrow gutter beside the road in front of the hotel,'' police added.

Police has registered an unnatural death case.

The deceased JEs organised a farewell party last night at the hotel for the retiring employees of the department.
