Asom: 2 consecutive blasts in Sivasagar, 10 injured
Guwahati, Aug 5: At least ten people were injured in two consecutive blasts in Sivasagar district, this morning as the ULFA ended their fortnight-long lull in violence.
Police said the ULFA triggered two blasts, one at ths Sivasagar bus stand and the other in front of Sonari police station.
Both the incidents took place between 0800 hrs and 0830 hrs. The ten injured in the blasts were mostly bystanders. However, no casualties were reported so far.
The Sonari blast took place when a bomb hidden inside a rice-sack exploded, police added.
