Tripura: Warrant against non-banking financial org

Agartala, Aug 4: West Tripura District Court here today issued a warrant against nine officials of a non-banking financial institution following complaints of the beneficiaries.

Police said the court had asked the West Tripura Superintendent of Police to arrest the officials of a chain marketing concern - Progressive Marketing Plane - which allegedly swindled Rs 25 lakh from different areas of the city.

Tripura government had issued general alert to the people yesterday asking them not to deposit any amount to anyone from the non-banking financial institutions.

Officials of Institutional Finance had revealed that as many as five non-banking financial institutions had come under the government scanner, who were luring people by exorbitant returns in comparatively less period of time.
