RSS lauds Kode's judgement, justifies 6-year jail to Sanjay
New Delhi, Aug 4 (UNI) The RSS has praised Special Tada Judge P D Kode for "audacious judgement" on the longest trial in the world into the 1993 Mumbai Sserial bomb blasts, convicting all the 100 people on various counts, including death sentences to 12, and also justified the six-year rigorous imprisonment to film star Sanjay Dutt.
''The verdict given by TADA judge should be etched in gold," the RSS mouth-piece "Organiser" said, adding that the judgement would be commended for its no-wonsense verdict.
Regarding Sanjay, it said he was booked for possessing an AK-56 rifle which came in a consignment of arms and explosives meant for the Mumbai serial blasts. The consignment had come about two months before the blasts took place. "Sanjay Dutt should have informed the police if he was just a mute bystander," the organiser said.
