Rs five lakh looted from bank cashier

Sheikhpura, Aug 4 (UNI) Unidentified criminals have looted Rs five lakhs from cashier of Sirari branch of Punjab National Bank (PNB)at Mour village under Barbigha police station area in the district.

District police superintendent Indranand Mishra yesterday said the criminals looted the cash from cashier Ranjit Kumar Sharma when he was returning after withdrawing the amount from another branch of PNB at Barbigha.

The ''Cashier and the driver of the vehicle carrying the cash, were being interrogated after being taken into custody,'' he added.

Raids were being carried out to nab the criminals and recover the looted cash.
