Robbery racket busted, 6 held

Lucknow, Aug 4 (UNI) Government Railway Police (GRP) busted a robbery racket and arrested its six members in Muzaffarnagar district of Uttar Pradesh late last night.

Police today said the six criminals were nabbed near Shamli station. Drugs were also seized from their possession.

The accused, identified as Somendra, Sanjeev, Khurshid, Raju, Sahajuddin and Mukesh, robbed the passengers aboard trains after giving them food laced with drugs.

The accused were also involved in other heinous crimes.

Investigation was on.
