Rapist slapped with 7-yr RI

Mahoba, Aug 4 (UNI) A local court today pronounced seven-year rigorous imprisonment on a youth accused of raping a teenaged girl here.

According to the prosecution, on March 7, 2006, Lucky had criminally assaulted his neighbour after abducting her in Haweli Darwaja area.

Later, the victim's mother registered a complaint against the accused at the Kotwali police station.

On the basis of evidence and testimony, Additional District and Sessions Court Judge Bacchu Lal convicted Lucky, besides imposing a penalty of Rs 3,000.
