Pune receives 2.7 mm rainfall in last 24 hrs

Pune, Aug 4 (UNI) The city received 2.7 mm rainfall in the last 24 hours, said sources in the India Meteorological Department (IMD) here today.

The weathermen have forecast occasional rains in the next 24 hrs.

Cloudy weather, accompanied by scattred rainfall, is expected to hit the city. The aggressive monsoon spell will resume within a couple of days, the observatory sources said.

The city has so far received 553 mm rainfall since June 1.

No rain-related incident has been reported so far, police and fire brigade sources said.
