Panther mauls boy to death

Junagadh, Aug 4 (UNI) A panther mauled a boy to death at Amadara village in Una taluka.

Pradeep alias Kalu (12), the son of farmer Karsanbhai Vaddhar, was playing in a field at 2000 hrs yesterday when the panther grabbed him by his neck and fled, police said here today Even then, the victim raised cries for help. Hearing this, his father and other villagers chased the panther who dropped the boy at some distance from the spot. The men immediately rushed the boy to a local hospital where doctors declared him brought dead, sources added.
