Maoists blow off forest beat office
Midnapore, Aug 4 (UNI) Maoists blew off a forest beat office under Lalgarh police station this morning.
''At least eight to ten Maoists attacked a forest beat office with some high explosives but nobody was injured,'' said District Magistrate(DM), West Midnapore B P Barak here.
Following the incident a large contingent of police, led by Superintendent of Police of West Midnapore A Raj Shekhar rushed to the spot.
No arrest had been made in this connection, he said.
One week earlier, Maoists had erected a 'martyr's column' at Katapahari, eight kms away from Lalgarh police station, for those who had been killed in an encounter with police.
