Lion cub, panther run over in Gir forest

Junagadh, Aug 4 (UNI) A lion cub and a panther were run over by unidentified vehicles in two separate incidents in Gir forest area recently.

In the first incident, two-year-old lion cub was run over by a vehicle last night near Khamba village in Gir forest area. The vehicle is yet to be traced, said Deputy Conservator of Forest V J Rana In the other incident, a four-year-old panther was run over by an unidentified vehicle on Thursday night at Jesar village in Gir forest's eastern area, Mr Rana added.
