Left creating unrest for govt in AP: APCC

Vijayawada, Aug 4 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) minority cell today alleged that the Left parties in the state were purposefully creating unrest for the Congress-led government on the land issue.

In a statement here, APCC Minority Cell Convenor Shaik Anwar Hussain said it was strange that the Left parties were resorting to agitations, at a time when the state government was constructing 27 lakh houses and distributing 4.50 lakh acres of land for the poor.

He alleged that the TDP was encouraging the Left parties for its political gain.

''The TDP had not distributed a single square yard of land to the poor when it was in power for nearly a decade. The Left parties too failed to raise the land issue during the TDP regime,'' he alleged.
