Constable awarded 7-yr RI
Mirzapur, Aug 4 (UNI) A local court today handed seven-year rigorous imprisonment to a constable accused of disappearing with his service rifle and cartridges.
On November 17, 1995, Brijesh Kumar Chaturvedi -- stationed at the Chunav railway station -- disappeared along with his service rifle and cartridges.
A day later, a complaint was registered against Brijesh by inspector Prem Sajeevan.
The Chief Judicial Magistrate convicted him and gave him seven years jail term, besides slapping a penalty of Rs 5,000.
