Cheating case of Rs 2.55 crores registered
Mumbai, Aug 4 (UNI) Police registered a cheating complaint against the owners of Radha dying and printing mill, Bhandup for allegedly duping Abhyudaya Cooperative Bank for a sum of Rs 2.55 crores.
Police said that the owners of the mill-Hanumanprasad Kanjriwal, Ratanlal Kanjriwal, Gopal Kanjriwal, Gautam Kanjriwal and Rahul Kanjriwal had borrowed a loan of Rs 2.55 crore from the bank in the year 2001. After making the payment of some instalments, they stopped further repayment of the loan. The bank issued several notices for payment of the loan, but they failed to respond to it.
Mr Vijay Karsondas Chavan (49), senior manager of the bank filed a cheating complaint against the accused persons yesterday, the police added.
