Azad visits Banihal blast victims in Srinagar hospital

Srinagar, Aug 4 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad visited SMHS Hospital here this morning to enquire about the condition of victims of the grenade blast at Banihal yesterday.

Thirteen seriously injured people have been shifted to the main city hospital here for treatment.

The Chief Minister, who arrived here from New Delhi, straightaway drove to the Hospital and took a round of the Casualty Ward where the injured had been admitted. He enquired from each one of them about the incident and the quality of medicare provided to them.

Mr Azad was informed that out of 13 persons admitted in the hospital, three were operated upon while one seriously injured was shifted to the SKIMS, Soura for specialised treatment. He had suffered splinter injuries in the head.

The doctors told the Chief Minister that the injured were out of danger.

Mr Azad told doctors on duty to take good care of the injured that also includes a woman whose engineer husband had also suffered splinter injuries.
