Asom Assembly session from Aug 6

Guwahati, Aug 4 (UNI) The four day monsoon session of the Asom Assembly will begin from Monday and will see as many as nine bills getting introduced on the floor of the House, the assembly secretariat informed.

The session is expected to be a stormy one as the opposition, namely the BJP and the AGP, is going to corner the treasury bench in the relief and rehabilitation of flood victims and the Bangladeshi issue.

The session will also see the other opposition party AUDF in a different shape as it is awaiting the green signal from the Congress high command for initial merger and then complete assimilation of the party into the Congress fold.
