Woman succumbs to burn injuries

Vadodara, Aug 3 (UNI) A woman set ablaze by her neighbour at Hashapura village in Waghodia taluka in the district on July 23, succumbed to her injuries today.

Nanduben Jaswantbhai Rathod (65) of Haradpura village of Kalol taluka in Panchmahals district had come to her daughter Devani K Chauhan's house here some days back. On July 23 Nanduben was sleeping alone outside her house when the neighbour Arjun Kalaisinh Chauhan, for reasons unknown, poured petrol on her and set her afire, police sources said.

The accused is absconding and investigations are on, sources added.
