Two tourist dead, three others rescued after a glacier slides

Srinagar, Aug 03 (UNI) Two tourists were killed while three others were rescued when a glacier broke and slid down in Sonmarg today.

A police spokesman identified the dead as Himesh Arora, son of Ashok Arora, resident of Talab Tillo (Jammu) and Tarun Kapoor, son of Narinder Kapoor, resident of Channi (Jammu).

The three rescued were identified as Nitish Goel, son of Gauri Shanker, resident of A/G 119 Shalimar Bagh, New Delhi, Nawal Kishore, son of Nitish Kumar Gupta, resident of A/G 402 Shalimar Bagh and Neha Sarin, wife of Rahul Sarin, resident of Goni khan Srinagar.

The rescue operation is on and police is trying to find if there are any more causalities or survivors.
