Three, including gram pradhan, shot dead

Lucknow, Aug 3 (UNI) Gram pradhan and two others were shot dead by few armed assailants at Bhorakala area of Muzaffarnagar today.

Bhaju village pradhan Srimati Sukhberi (50), her son Dharmendra (26) and servant Ramesh Jatav (32) were in conversation, when motorcycle-borne assailants fired indiscriminately on them.

The trio died on the spot.

The reason behind the crime was reported as personal rivalry.

At least nine people of the village had been killed in the last three years for the same reason.

On being informed, senior officials reached the spot and a manhunt was launched to nab the accused.

Police force had been deployed in the area to avoid any untoward incident.
