The IGP of SRP Goswami, who was here on two-day inspection, felt Parmar had consumed liquor when the latter went to shake hands with Goswami.
Goswami then asked SRP group PSI R S Bhagat to inquire. Later Bhagat filed a complaint with the police and Parmar was arrested.
Another jawan Jaswant Makwana, who is suspected of drinking has not yet been arrested. Sources said inquiry is on against him.
Interestingly, Parmar had earlier headed the 'C' company in kabaddi competition against the 'D' company and won. However, Goswami ordered the losing 'D' company to be declared winners owing to Parmar's misdemeanor.
