Sham Sunder elected BJP district president

Kapurthala, Aug 3 (UNI) Municipal Councillor Sham Sunder Aggarwal was today elected president of district unit of BJP following intervention by the BJP State unit.

Eight candidates had filed their nominations for the post but before the election was held all the contestants authorised the state unit to choose the president.

The state unit named Sham Sunder Aggarwal after hectic consultations with other members of the district unit.
