Ram re-appointed as J'khand DGP

Ranchi, Aug 3 (UNI) Jharkhand government today re-appointed B D Ram as new Director General of Police of the state.

Home department sources said Mr Ram, who had served as the state's DGP during the erstwhile NDA government would replace J Mahapatra.

Mr Mahapatra had been shifted as Director General-cum-Chief Commandant of state home guards and fire service with an aditional charge as Director of State Police Housing Corporation Limited.

Mr Neyaj Ahmad ADG (headquarters) had been given independent charge of intelligence bureau, sources said.
