Haryana CS for pvt sector participation in development
Chandigarh, Aug 3 (UNI) Haryana Chief Secretary Prem Prashant today said active participation of the private sector had become the need of the hour for fast development of the state.
''It has become very essential to give a number of incentives to the private sector so that the private sector and the public sector might jointly accelerate the pace of development in the state,'' he said in a meeting at Rohtak while reviewing the progress of development works being done in the districts of Rohtak Division.
The Chief Secretary directed the Administrative officers of the Division that they should maintain congenial atmosphere for development so that the private sector might get encouragement for cooperation in developmental works by making more and more investment.
He said the state government was aiming at enhancing the pace of development by 9 to 10 per cent in the state.
''This aim can be achieved with active participation and cooperation of the private sector,'' he said.
He also stressed on bringing improvement in the functioning of various departments.
Mr Prem Prashant said that 50 per cent population of the country belonged to the people of 25 years age group and while formulating development plans the interests of these people should also be kept in view and those organisations should be given incentives which could give new job opportunities to the youth.
The Chief Secretary reviewed the ongoing development works in Jhajjar, Sonepat, Rohtak, Panipat and Karnal districts of the Rohtak Division and directed the officers of various departments including the Deputy Commissioners to complete the ongoing works being done under the Chief Ministers announcements in the scheduled timeframe.
