Forex reserves up by 3 billion USD
Mumbai, Aug 3 (UNI) India's foreign reserves grew by more than 3 billion US dollars to 225.350 billion dollars in past week from 222.043 billion dollars.
Meanwhile, country's reserve position in the International Monetary Fund (IMF) met a dip of 10 million dollars over the week to 455 million dollars as against 465 million dollars.
In other segments of reserve, Foreign currency assets rose for the second consecutive week to 218.096 billion dollars from 214.790 billion dollars while gold reserves stood unchanged at 6.787 billion dollars, said the weekly statistical report of Reserve bank.
Aggregate deposits of the scheduled commercial banks went up to Rs 27,29,856 crore from Rs 27,13,843 crore during the period while bank credits fell to Rs 19,14,456 crore from Rs 19,14,527 crore, the release added.
