Dish TV launches DTH technology for desk top PC
Bangalore, Aug 3: Dish TV India Ltd has launched dishtv on computer, in eight cities of the country.
Dish TV Marketing Head, Anjali Malhotra, told reporters by a video conference from Noida here that a Desktop PC could alter between computer and live TV merely at the click of a button, when connected with a special set top box.
''Dish TV on computer extends unparalleled experience to the viewers by offering a boutique of 171 channels, value added service, active features, gaming and the like,'' she said.
"It offers a dual advantage of being compatible to both computer and television and is extremely convenient to use," she said, adding its working was similar to that of regular dish TV set top box, where the dish is installed on the roof or terrace.
"The VGA box comes at a price of Rs 4150, inclusive of equipment, installation and taxes besides monthly subscriptions in three packages," she said.
"The product will be launched in a phased manner and is currently being made available in selected cities - New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore, Kolkata, Pune, Ahmedabad and Hyderabad," she said.
