Couple, child die in road accident

Ahmedabad, Aug 3 (UNI) A young couple and their infant baby-girl child died on the spot when their Maruti car met with a head-on collision with a speeding Matador van on Gandhinagar-Vijapur highway near Delvaad village in Gandhinagar district today.

According to the police sources, the incident took place around 0900 hrs when the driver of one the vehicles lost control and rammed into another, killing all the three occupants of the Maruti car.

Police sources said, the deceased occupant family of Maruti car was hailing from Vijapur town in Mehsana district. They have identified as Shailesh Madhavlal Patel, his wife Sonalben and six-month-old daughter Hirvani.

Mansa police station has registered a case of accident and further investigations are on.
