Water level stood at 118.82 ft

Tiruchirapally, Aug 2 (UNI) The water level in the Stanley reservoir at Mettur across river Cauvery stood at 118.82 ft, this morning as against its full capacity of 120 ft.

State PWD sources said the inflow into the reservoir was 10,556 cusecs and the discharge was 10,000 cusecs.

From grand Anaicut in Thanjavur district, about 4,267 cusecs of water was let out into rivers Cauvery and Vennar each, 3,004 cusecs into grand Anaicut canal and 1,208 cusecs into river Coleroon for irrigation purposes, they added.
