Select cotton price rises on increased spinners' demand

Mumbai, Aug 2 (UNI) Key cotton prices today rallied on sustained good spinners' demand and less stocks, traders at the East India Cotton Association said today.

Following are the spot cotton rates per candy (350 kgs) in Rupees: Bengal Desi: 16,200, V-797: 17,000, Karnataka Jayadhar: 16,500, Y-1: 17,800, Punjab J-34: 18,800, NHH-44: 19,500, LRA: 19,200, H-4: Rs 19,700, S-6-A grade: 20,100, Bunny/Brahma: 20,400, MCU-5: Rs 21,400, DCH-32: 32,500, 26-MM: 19,600. Hedge Contract 19,800.
