Outsider found sitting in Legislative Assembly
Mumbai, Aug 2 (UNI) The Legislative Assembly was today taken aback when an intruder was found occupying one of the benches in the lower house.
Girish Mahajan (BJP) brought this to the notice of the Chair and urged Speaker Babasaheb Kupekar to check the antecedents of the unknown person, who was sitting in the opposition benches. The Marshals immediately took away the man.
It was later discovered that the man, identified as Shivajirao Patil from Jalgaon, had come to the Vidhan Bhavan to meet Irrigation Minister Ajit Pawar. On inquiring at Mr Pawar's office, he was told that ''Saheb is in the House,'' following which he had calmly walked into the Legislative Assembly.
