One boy died another 139 infected with Gastroenteritis

Gulbarga, Aug 02 (UNI) One boy was killed another 139 indisposed due to gastroenteritis in shahapur taluk in the district today.

District health officer Nalini Namoshi informed UNI that the incident took place at Kakkeri village in Shahapur taluk in the diustrict.

Consumption of contaminated water was said to be reason due to outbreak of pandemic disease gastroenteritis. The deceased has been identified as Faiyaz Ahmed (08) was died of acute dehydration.

A team of medical officers have been formed and have rushed to the affected village with medicenes, the sources added.
