AP: Number of rabies' victims rises to 72
Srikakulam, Aug 2: The number of rabies cases in the Rajam area here rose to 72 today. The victims included 17 children, Rajam Municipal Commissioner B V Ramana Murty said while 34 cases were reported yesterday, the number rose to 72 today.
Cases were also reported from neighbouring areas like Antakapalli, Sarathi, Pogiri, Palakhandyam, Dolapet and Mettavalasa villages.
Adequate number of rabies vaccine was being brought to Rajam on emergency basis from other areas, the officer added.
