Minorities Commission lauds Hamid's vision, drive
New Delhi, Aug 2 (UNI) UPA-Left Vice Presidential candidate Mohammad Hamid Ansari, who had resigned as chairman of the National Minorities Commission following his nomination, today received praise from its Members for his services.
Mr Ansari was also congratulated by the Members on his nomination for the Vice Presidential post.
At a meeting presided over by seniormost Member Harcharan Josh in his capacity as acting Chairman of the Commission, the panel passed a resolution placing on record their appreciation of Mr Anasari's leadership qualities during his tenure.
''In particular, they lauded his vision and drive that enabled the Commisson to shoulder its statutory tasks and obligations with great measure of success,'' said a release of the Commission.
